Like I said in the excerpt, this is the Mitsubishi RV1A that is used in a variety of applications. Any time you need a precision robot to basically do manual labor, you would use this robot.

The modeling was done from schematic drawings and about 50 reference photos. All of the textures are from photos I took of the actual device. Here are a couple more "action shots" of the video.

Tragically, all of my 3DS Max files have been lost somehow. I probablly was sloppy in upgrading Max. I still have all of the reference photos though, so maybe I will make it again someday. I also still had the following video:
